Central Michigan 2021 Schedule Preview

The CMU Chips are returning a lot of production this season, which makes them my way too early MAC West Champions. A lot of their success depends QB Daniel Richardson exploding in this Jim McElwain offense.

The Chippewas are my early pick to win the West. McElwain is a fantastic coach who won his first year, and after going 3-3 last year they will bounce back with a lot of production.

Week 1 MAC Picks

Football is finally back, and as per request, I will be dishing out picks for every MAC game.  1. Western Illinois vs Ball State -25.5     Give me the Cards here. Western Illinois is a solid FCS school but I would look for Ball State to light it up big as they try and go back to back. 2. Wagner vs Buffalo -45     I would take Wagner here. This line is huge, and there is a chance that Wagner keeps it closer than people think as Buffalo transitions to a new coaching staff as well as losing many players to graduation.  3. Bowling Green vs Tennessee -34     BG lost by more than this to MAC teams last year. Easy pick, take the Vols. Josh Huepel is in his coaching debut, so look for him to run up the score.  4. St Francis vs Eastern Michigan -30.5     This one is tough, but take the Eagles. Eastern is experienced on the trenches and should look good on defense so maybe this game could cover, but risky play. 5. Western Michigan vs...

 This 2021 BG team is going to have another bad year after going 0-5 in 2020 as they still have the youngest FBS team.  Week 1: Tennessee L Week 2: South Alabama W Week 3: Murray State W Week 4: Minnesota L Week 5: Kent State L Week 6: Akron W Week 7: NIU L Week 8: Eastern Michigan W Week 9: Buffalo L Week 10: Toledo L Week 11: Miami OH L Week 12: Ohio L Overall: 4-8 MAC: 2-6 Window: 2-4 wins I see the 2021 Falcons having another down year but building on a solid future just like Akron.
